This tour package lets you discover the wild authentic Sahara Desert starting from M’hamid. The tour included most of the Sahara Desert highlights: Ras Nkhal, Oum Lâalag, and Erg Chegaga. Not only does the tour include that highlights, but it also embodies various activities which are as follows: camel ride, lunch at the sacred oasis, local Sahara music around the campfire, overnight stay under the shining starry sky, and off-road drive in the heart of the desert. This tour is an ideal tour package for worth desert discovery because it includes three salient sites: the palm groves of Ras Nkhal, the sacred oasis of Oum Lâalag, and the highest majestic dunes of Erg chegaga. This valuable experience makes you feel that the Sahara Desert is your home, too. On the last day, we go back to the village by the air-conditioned 4×4 vehicle.

ITINERARY

Day 1: M’hamid - Ras Nkhal
The tour around the salient sites of the authentic Sahara Desert starts from M’hamid El Ghizlane in the afternoon. The Camels and the camel driver will be waiting to take you to the camp in Ras Nkhal. You will have a camel ride for 40 minutes towards the comfortable desert camp in Ras Nkhal. During that period, the landscapes will change from small sandy dunes to date palm trees. When you reach the camp, you will be served the Moroccan tea. After that, you will see the quaint view of the sunset and the stars. Clear sky, shining stars, and stunning sunset make you feel that the Sahara Desert is your home, too. Dinner will be served in the camp, followed by local music around the campfire. The latter will be a source of entertainment in the wild Sahara Desert and talk about the Nomadic lifestyle.
Day 2: Ras Nkhal - Oum Lâalag - Erg Chegaga
After breakfast in the desert camp at Ras Nkhal, you will drive off-road around 1h: 30 minutes to reach the highest majestic dunes of Erg Chegaga. The landscapes vary from palm trees to picturesque Erg (sand dune) and reg (rocky dune) while you are driving towards Erg Chegaga. You will break for lunch at the sacred oasis of Oum Lâalag, a recognized source of water for Nomads and their flocks. After having a sufficient period of time, you will resume driving towards Erg Chegaga. It is the magic place where you will smile from ear to ear. On the majestic dunes of Erg Chegaga, you will experience the sandboarding, feel the tranquility of the Sahara Desert, and enjoy the stunning sunset in the heart of the Sahara desert surrounded by 15 km of dunes (300 m high). After seeing the stunning sunset, you will stay overnight in the Sahara desert camp in which dinner will be served and local music be played around the campfire. There, you will exchange songs and stories, gaze at the shining stars, and sleep in a comfortable Nomadic tent.
Day 3: Erg Chegaga - M’hamid.
After the stunning sunrise and super breakfast in the camp, you will drive back to M’hamid El Ghizlane.
